The gait of the “modern” human is well analyzed, there are books on how to walk healthy, efficiently, fast, whatsoever. All those good and meaningful books have something in common - They all assume that the person who is enabled by this knowledge to do something faster, more efficiently, etc. already has the basic ability to run, stand and walk.
But people with neurological disorders have partly or fully lost the ability to walk, stand, cycle, run, crawl… and thus are starting at a totally different point and need totally different approaches to relearn crawling, standing, walking - They need to learn it almost from the scratch, so we need to consider that and use other approaches.
There is where Gait- or Movement-Trainer can help to relearn these gait patterns to let people make voluntary movements again. We need to be honest, that's for sure not an easy one and there is absolutely no garantie -
But there are people and equipment which show that with decent and frequent training, as well as the right mechanics a lot more ist possible then you would hear from most professionals in clinics even with severe injuries and diagnosis.
So we want to provide you information about options you might have to train your body and in this case specially your legs and thus get hopefully some movement and sensitivity back where you might have not expected it.
